Something unusual that happen today
Today, something unusual happened, i did not go to school today. Why? It is because our principal had given the whole school a full day(which means that we do not have to go to school for that day). Instead, i went to my friend's(Leighton) house to do a maths project. I met up with another friend(Eric) at pasir ris station and we both proceeded to Leighton's house. Once at his house, I took out my laptop and logged in. The three of us were meeting our fourth friend Ernest online via msn chat. Then we began our discussions, but unfortunately, our dear friend Leighton began to spam(anyhow typing out words) our discussions. I then had to tell Ernest to wait while i went to stop Leighton from spamming(it was quite simple, a few knocks and threats will immediately quieten up the person). After working out what we were to do, Ernest logged off. Me and Eric then stood up and walked to Leighton to use his computer only to find out that he had been chatting via msn with his friends. Desperate times called for desperate measures as i got Eric to hold Leighton while i typed in on his chat box the words i hate life before signing out of his hot mail account. I then opened Leighton's start menu and clicked on the PowerPoint button only to discover that his computer did not have it. Leighton then explained that he had deleted it.(Which person deletes his windows PowerPoint?) We then forced Leighton to type out the project(not as punishment but because he typed the fastest). But unfortunately, we could not finish it on time and i have to do it at home. Which reminds me, I HAVEN'T DONE IT YET! Lesson's learned: Check if all homework is done before writing blog.

A moment I enjoyed with my family
The house was eerily silent, not a sound could be heard. All the attention of the house occupants and resident insects was focused on an inconspicuous boring grey board in the living room. As the opponents stared at each other, the entire atmosphere was filled with tension. In this game of high stakes, a single blink it seemed, could determine the rise and fall of champions. To my great annoyance, my hand phone started vibrating, shattering the tension. The moment my attention was diverted, as i quickly read and text ed the reply, the rest of the players took the opportunity to argue over who had cheated, whose turn it was and who was likely to win. My family and I were as usual in the midst of playing a very delightful and engaging strategy game called Blokus(For more information regarding the game please go to http://www.blokus.com/)
(The box cover)
As i hit the send button on my phone, and turn my attention back to the game, i realised that everyone had skipped my turn twice. I immediately asked them to stop, explained to them what they had done and patiently waited for them to remove the offending pieces. As i listened to their excuses about being mystified on how they managed to skip my turn twice, i calmly placed my piece on to a very strategic spot which was in the middle of the board. As i listened to the pleading or even threats of my family members, i simply said "your turn." My sister then said that she was thirsty and was going to drink some water. Now it was me and my parents turn to place as many pieces onto the board. By the time my sister came back, the board(correction battlefield) had change. So we spent the next 5 minutes arguing where which piece fitted.(There's an unofficial rule that if you managed to place a piece on the board without anyone noticing, you can keep it there after one turn) Seeing an opening move, i placed my piece there and 15 minutes later, i won the game. If family life ever seems boring and too routine for you, I highly recommend this game…
(The winning colour is green and guess who won? ME)

A moment spent alone doing something i enjoyed
Beep, beep, beep! My hand phone alarm went.As i picked up my phone, glanced quickly at the screen. 'reminder', add in music and tag board for blog.I sprang into action and quickly pulled my laptop out of my laptop bag and pressed the power button. While waiting for the computer to load, i went to make myself a delicous cup of mocha. As i knew that i had a long and dauntingly difficult task to do….
Where should I go to get my music player and tagboard? I then decided to visit my friend's blog to see where they went to get their tag boards and music. First up, a visit to my good friend Brian Chiee's blog. I looked at his tag board and decided that it would look nice on my blog. So, i clicked on it and signed up for the membership at cbox.com to get the tag board. After selecting and copying the code into my blogs Html, I then went to look for my music player. I then decided to follow Brian’s footsteps again and went to sign up for the membership at imeem.com.
I signed in and then went on to create my play list. Creating the play list was very fun as i got to listen to my favorite artist's(e.g We the kings) songs. After half an hour, my play list was created. I then tried to get the imeem music player onto my blog, but i did not know how to do it, even going to the help page didn't help, it just got me more confused. Finally, i called Brian to ask him for help. He then told me what to do and with that, i inserted my music player into my blog's Html. I then signed out from the blog In a second, my computer was banished into hibernation mode . Just in time too, for i was running out of mocha…

A difficulty which i faced
"My sister says that she wants to watch television but she can't get any channels" said Sherman. "Let's all go to the living room to fix it."
All the trouble started when
Chun Wei brought his
PlayStation 2 to Sherman's house. This strange fellow actually lugged along his
PlayStation in his bag all the way from his house to school than to Sherman's house(Hard to believe it right?). Upon reaching the house,
Chun Wei and
Dominic took the treasure out from the school bag and began to plug out all the wires from the television in a attempt to plug in the wires from the
PlayStation.
The whole group of us then proceeded to the living room with this thought on our mind, what was the
problem? We then found the cause of the
problem. All the wires connected to the TV were mostly unplugged.
We then had a little conference on what to do. We then decided to plug all the wires back into the spaces, sadly, that didn't work. We then checked if the wires were placed in the right colours and found out that some weren't. After fixing this
problem, we then powered on the television to check if it was any good. The good thing was that we had the pictures back but not the sound. At this point of time, it was realised that someone was not helping(I am not going to name anybody but he was the one who brought the PlayStation), but instead playing with Sherman's PlayStation portable(
PSP). When confronted, he curse us and did not move his fat butt. Luckily for us, Hui Han(Sherman's friend) had an idea, we would find which wire was to which machine, and the ones which belong to the set up box were to be wired into the television. After 15 minutes we got the television working. Lesson learnt, we should never act on impulse but
perhaps find out how to do things right before pulling plugs out(Take a photo).

What i did in school today
Ring!!! Went the school bell. After saying goodbye to the teacher, the stampede began as everyone began to run out of the door to be the first one out of school. I waited patiently at my chair as i waited for the jam to clear. How i wished that i could go home. But unfortunately, i had to do a math project and go for my cca(cross-country). As i was walking out of the classroom, my team mates caught up with me. We then had a discussion on what to do first and unanimously decide to eat our lunch first( We all need energy to do work right?). While we were eating, our friend sanjeev came over and sat down with us. He then proceeded to disgust us by eating chicken rice with extra skin with lots of oil, soy sauce and chili.( I don't know about you but eating chicken skin grosses me out) After we finished, we then proceeded to do our project.
But first, let me explain what my maths project is all about. In the year 2010, there is a school crest outside my school's auditorium. My group is tasked to supply the diameter of the school crest to the manufacturer. As my team have no access to the dimensions of the crest( If you are thinking how on earth is it possible to lose the dimensions? i totally agree with you, must have been the school clerk), and are enable to measure it directly, we are to come out with two possible methods to get the diameter.
Our first method is to use a human figure compared to the crest(We are using scale). But unfortunately, we had two major problems. The first one is finding the position to take the photo. We first tried to take it in the trapezium(refer to the diagram1), but the second problem came into play, when the other person was at the trapezium he could not here what we wanted to tell him.

We solved the problem by using our headphone to communicate. Our second method was to use the trapezium's height instead of my friend. After taking the photo, we all went home( I thank God that we finally got from saying that we would do the project to doing it.)
